PREMIERE CLASSE TREND FARE IN PARIS
The
Maks & Blaze Trend team visited Paris for the Premiere Classe Trend Fare in
March, as well as Paris Fashion Week.
Premiere
Classe was held at the Jardin des Tuileries, in the heart of Paris. This 4-day
Trend Fare serves as a top-end showcase for jewellery & accessory designers
from all over the world. With 400 exhibitors and over 17000 visitors at the
Trend Fare, we were overwhelmed and inspired, not only by the jewellery &
accessories on display, but by the people & fashion as well.
Some
of our favourite trends from the Fare include:
- The robo-digital inspired rings & septum rings from Maria Francesca Pepe
- The fine metal & pearl earrings & bracelets from E.M.
- The raw natural effect necklaces from Noritamy
- The futuristic sporty Perspex necklaces & headwear from House of Flora
- The 3D printed necklaces & rings from Vojd Studios
- The quirky pop necklaces from Tatty Devine
- The primordial geometric necklaces & earcuffs from Michal Taharlev
- The Gothic rope necklaces from Chaca
- The pretty pastel exotic skin cuff’s from A Cuckoo Moment
- The medieval-inspired leatherwork handbags & body harnesses from Una Burke
- The enamel & metal ear cuff’s from Yael Salomon
- The distressed metallic leather bags from Campomaggi
- The spliced architectural print bags from Mury
When
we weren’t at the Trend Fare, or shopping up a storm in Paris, we were eagerly photographing
street style and the who’s who of the Fashion Industry at Runway shows. We
spotted Olivia Palermo bustling through the crowds at the Elie Saab Runway show,
as well as fashion bloggers: Man Repeller, The Haute Pursuit, Mary Leest, Hofit
Golan, Sophie Hermann, Kate Zhang & Amanda Shadforth.
Fashion
varied from casual sporty, to chic & glam Parisian style, with accessories
ranging from miniature quirky handbags, bold necklaces, statement sunnies, to
sporty sneakers. Various looks popped with colour, plush furs & mismatched
patterns.
A
trip to Paris would not be complete without feasting on some of the local delicacies.
We enjoyed croissants, macaroons from Laduree, hot chocolate from Angelina’s,
the most divine caramel & banana crepes, and of course we had to try French
onion soup and frogs legs – which did taste just like chicken!
One
of the best views was waking up every morning to the sight of the Eiffel Tower,
which was less than 1km away from our hotel. We also had the great privilege of
seeing the Arc de Triomphe, the Notre Dame Cathedral, the Sacre Coeur, the
Moulin Rouge and the Louvre.
Overall,
Paris was everything and more than what we could have ever expected… when can
we go back?!
